The position requires a valid forklift certification, 3+ years of dock experience, and strong English communication. Schedule is Monday–Friday evenings with potential overtime; candidates must be able to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance and work in a non-climate-controlled

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) preferred.
• Certification: Valid forklift certification/licensure required (or ability to obtain).
• Experience: 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience.
• Communication: Able to communicate effectively in English, written and spoken.
• Arithmetic: Basic arithmetic to verify counts, weights, and quantities.
• Technology: Willingness to learn handheld scanners and freight-tracking devices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and trailers.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight with handheld devices and systems.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe dock environment and PPE compliance.
• Learn equipment operation and safety protocols on the job.
• Support dock productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Handle oversized/high-value freight safely.
• Assist with dock coordination and task assignment as needed.
• Train and mentor other Material Handlers.
