Job summary

Advocate Health at Aurora Sinai Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services teammate to keep patient areas and public spaces clean and safe. You will operate cleaning equipment, follow infection control guidelines, and assist with room setup for meetings.

This full-time role runs 3:00pm–11:30pm, 40 hours weekly, every other weekend and holiday. No formal education required; previous experience not necessary. Pay starts within a competitive range and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans furniture and carpets in rooms, hallways, stairs, and offices.
• Cleans and maintains floors with dry and wet mops; refinishes floors.
• Operates cleaning equipment, both mechanical and electrical.
• Notifies supervisor of safety hazards or equipment needing repair.
• Gathers and disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste.
• Sets up rooms for meetings and delivers AV equipment.
• Cleans patient care areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices.
• Performs terminal and project cleaning in surgical areas.
