Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Marlborough Hospital is seeking a patient access professional to schedule lab, radiology and ancillary appointments and coordinate services for patients across multiple providers. This role requires accurate data entry, insurance verification and collection of patient liabilities prior to service.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and preferably an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, with EPIC training expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays; EPIC training in Worcester may be required.

Responsibilities

• Enter lab, radiology and basic ancillary service appointments.
• Schedule patients for treatment and services across multiple providers.
• Coordinate provision of multiple services for patients.
• Verify and update insurance and demographic information; obtain referrals and authorizations.
