Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business or healthcare-related field.
• Must work every other weekend and holidays; on-site training in Worcester and Marlborough.
• EPIC training classes; initial onsite training at Marlborough Campus; schedule varies by dept.

Responsibilities

• Enter Lab, Radiology and basic ancillary service appointments into schedules.
• Schedule patients for treatment and services across providers and campuses.
• Coordinate provision of multiple services for patients.
• Process updates to patient insurance and demographics; obtain referrals.
• Collect patient liabilities prior to or on service date.
• Arrange tests, procedures and ancillary services per guidelines.
• Prioritize visits to optimize physician time and resources.
• Enter and verify patient insurance coverage; pre-authorizations.
• Follow up to correct discrepancies; notify patients of appointment times.
• Provide patient prep information and mail information packets.
