Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide for the PM shift to support meal service in our facility. The role emphasizes teamwork with the cook and dietary supervisor and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, operate the dishwasher, and ensure proper dishwashing cycles.

You’ll learn the food service routine quickly and participate in training. Qualifications include a high school diploma and a food handlers’ certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to present information to managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
