Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support kitchen operations, including meal tray setup, dishwashing, and serving meals. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and assist the Cook and Dietary Supervisor with daily tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read procedures and recipes, and obtain a food handlers’ certificate. The role emphasizes teamwork across departments and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and recipes.
• Ability to follow instructions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist the cook or dietary supervisor.
