Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service in a healthcare setting. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, and assist with serving meals while keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary.

The role includes operating the dishwasher, checking temperatures, and participating in staff training. High school diploma or equivalent and a food handler certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, refrigerators and floors.
• Record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Carry out trash disposal and groceries.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
