PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the kitchen operations in a healthcare setting. The role involves learning food service routines, setting up meal trays, and assisting with serving meals.

The incumbent will help with dishwashing, sanitizing, and general kitchen maintenance to ensure smooth meal service. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to read procedures and recipes, and obtaining a food handlers’ certificate.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow technical procedures.
• Able to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Able to present information clearly to managers and staff.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temp of dishwasher.
• Monitor dishwasher temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Take out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely and neatly.
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary for next shift.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training.
