Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a part-time cook for the Atkinson facility to prepare and serve meals for patients, staff, and visitors. The role requires following HACCP guidelines, maintaining sanitation, and working with standard recipes in an evening shift.

The job involves standing most of the day, measuring ingredients, and collaborating with teammates to ensure high-quality meals in a hospital setting. On-the-job training is provided and some locations may require Serv Safe and BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of applicable experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location; additional endorsements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assemble baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors of the facility, following menu and dietary requirements.
• Adheres to HACCP guidelines and documents steps, temperatures and outcomes to ensure safe food.
• Operates equipment such as mixers, ovens, kettles, and dishwashers while maintaining sanitation and labeling/storage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work with basic math to measure ingredients and recipes.
