Job summary

Good Samaritan Atwood is seeking a dedicated culinary major staff member to prepare, cook and serve meals for patients, residents, staff and visitors. You will follow menus, HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation standards in a fast-paced hospital kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• Fulfill annual continuing education requirements of the department and facility including departmental meetings, safety education and mandatory in-services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location requirements.
• Valid Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assemble baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors of the designated facility, preparing and serving food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements.
• Adheres to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
• Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, and other kitchen machinery.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
• Works with internal customers and demonstrates above-average communication and teamwork.
