Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking an evening cook at our Larimore, ND facility to join the dietary team. This PRN role involves preparing, cooking, seasoning and portioning meals for residents and staff, following menus and HACCP guidelines to ensure safety and quality.

You will work with a caring team, maintain sanitation and operate a variety of kitchen equipment. A high school diploma is preferred, with at least six months of related experience; on-the-job training is provided and Serv Safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• BLS may be required depending on location.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assembles baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for residents and staff.
• Adheres to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
• Documents HACCP steps, temperatures and outcomes to assure safety.
• Operates equipment such as mixers, ovens, kettles, stoves, and more.
• Works independently when necessary and collaborates with team members.
• Follows recipes and reads menus to meet dietary requirements.
