Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support mobility and dining services.

The role requires CNA certification and ongoing competency testing, with opportunities to participate in wellness programs and a comprehensive benefits package. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Requires CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in process to obtain certification.
• Completes yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Record vital signs and report changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide meals assistance and monitor dining experience.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and PPE usage.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support as needed.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Support wellness and recreational programs for residents.
