Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, document care, and support wellness and recreation programs.

This full-time role requires a CNA certification, a minimum age of 16, and basic health and safety responsibilities. Benefits include a strong Total Rewards package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and daily living activities.
• Record vital signs and assist with meals, hydration, and nutrition.
• Assist with transfers, positioning and range-of-motion exercises.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
