Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society serves as caregiver to residents in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Duties include daily living activities, documenting care, and supporting infection prevention and safety protocols.

The role requires CNA certification, or enrollment within four months, and a minimum age of 16. Prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Minimum age of 16.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care per care plan.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming and meals.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
• Document resident interactions and participate in care documentation.
• Support infection prevention and safety procedures.
