Performance Foodservice seeks an experienced Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers between operating locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate a tandem tractor/trailer or straight truck on intrastate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, maintaining accurate logs and supporting the distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED requirement.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Comply with state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift: Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Possess DOT Health Card or obtain one.

Responsabilités

• Performs DOT safety checks and inspections on tractor/trailer.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company guidelines.
• Maintains route paperwork for dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures and secures loads.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secure all equipment and freight; handle damaged goods.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness in tractor and loading dock area.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
