Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer in Fairburn, GA to maintain and upgrade building systems. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety, with a focus on preventive maintenance and cost-effective improvements.

The position requires hands-on technical ability, strong communication, and adherence to safety and compliance programs. On-site hours are scheduled from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to lift at least 50 lbs and use ladders up to 26'.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude required.
• Knowledge of office furniture systems.
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Fluent English for daily operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update CMMS information for building systems.
• Maintain HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Life Safety systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment or delegate tasks.
• Respond to service requests with minimal disruption to clients.
• Assist with installations of new or replacement equipment.
• Review contractor work for quality and pricing.
• Maintain inventory of parts and submit replacement requests.
• Support Lead Engineer and Site Manager with improvements.
• Interact with customers professionally and ensure satisfaction.
