Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in New York, NY is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

The role includes a 3pm–11pm Wednesday to Sunday shift, preventive maintenance, tenant service requests, safety compliance, and CMMS usage. Requires 3+ years relevant experience, EPA credentials, and a Certificate of Fitness. On-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree required.
• Universal CFC EPA certification.
• Certificate of Fitness.
• Q-01/Q-99, A-35, P-98, S-12/S-13/S-14 certifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and service tenant requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response as needed.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Engage in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.
