Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems in a Class A office building in Downtown Atlanta. You will join a small engineering team and work Monday–Friday with rotating on-call.

The role requires 3+ years in maintenance, EPA certification if possible, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. On-site presence is required and visa sponsorship is not offered. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair and maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry)
• Trade school, union training, military service or college is desirable
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Maintain work order system and complete tenant service requests
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Assist with on-call or emergency response situations
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in training programs
• Support other projects as assigned
