Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an Assembler I to perform sub-assembly and basic assembly operations. You will prepare, measure, assemble, and inspect parts, while supporting prototypes and maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy manufacturing facility.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0–1 year of manufacturing experience. You will work with small tools, read drawings/BoMs, and follow English instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and check for correct fit.
• Assist in prototypes and basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and protect resources.
• Conserve materials and equipment as required to achieve results.
• Train others to perform basic assembly tasks when needed.
• Inspect finished work before handing off to the next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
