Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Romeoville, IL is seeking an Assembler I (2:00pm to 10:30pm) to perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks across our manufacturing lines. You will follow blueprints, prepare parts, and help build prototypes as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with pay between $22.50 and $23.75 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 0–1 year experience in manufacturing (preferred).
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions and parts lists to prepare work.
• Position parts using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and verify fit.
• Assist in prototype or basic assembly projects.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and use resources efficiently.
• Document production and quality data.
