Job summary

G&W Electric in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an Assembler I to perform a variety of sub-assembly and basic assembly tasks, following instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.

You will prepare parts, read drawings, use small tools, contribute to prototypes, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while meeting quality standards.

The position offers hourly pay from $22.50 to $23.75, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to learn, train others, and grow with a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to understand instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints and parts lists to prepare work.
• Position parts and subassemblies via templates or by reading measurements.
• Assemble components and verify fit and connections.
• Assist in prototypes and basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and use resources efficiently.
• Contribute to team by training others in basic assembly tasks.
