Job summary

Akron Children's seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) to provide high-level care in collaboration with physicians. You will perform health assessments, order and interpret tests, and develop treatment plans for diverse patient populations across pediatric settings.

Role requires prescriptive authority and active medical staff privileges. Must hold Ohio RN license with NP certification; MSN/DNP preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Ohio with NP board certification.
• Prescriptive authority per Ohio Board policies.
• MSN or DNP degree preferred; pursue if not held.
• Active credentialing on medical staff privileges.
• ACLS or PALS may be required depending on practice setting.
• Current Health Care Provider BLS training.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care for complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates tests to address clinical problems.
• Develops diagnoses and treatment plans with patients and families.
• Performs health assessments, education, and discharge planning.
