Job summary

Akron Children's Mansfield division is seeking an advanced practice Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and specialty care in collaboration with a physician. The role operates under a Standard Care Arrangement with prescribing authority as allowed by Ohio policies.

Responsibilities include health assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, participating in rounds, discharge planning, and mentoring staff. Onsite full-time employment with hospital privileges.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral nursing degree preferred.
• RN license in Ohio and NP national certification.
• Certificate to prescribe, or eligible.
• Active medical staff privileges credentialing.
• BLS required for healthcare provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for high-acuity patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical team in rounds.
• Develop treatment plans with patient and family.
• Discharge planning and care coordination.
• May prescribe medications as allowed.
