Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) to deliver primary and specialty care in collaboration with physicians. The role requires board-certified NP credentials and prescriptive authority (or eligibility) with Ohio licensing, in a setting that includes neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed RN in Ohio and national Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Certificate to prescribe (or eligible) required by Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Credentialing as active medical staff member with privileges.
• Health provider BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
• Practices with neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
• Operates in high-acuity care settings with complex monitoring and therapies.
• Participates in FPPE/OPPE for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Promotes health promotion and disease prevention; treats acute and chronic conditions.
