The position requires Ohio RN licensure, national APN certification, and prescriptive authority (or eligibility). Expect on-site responsibilities with strong emphasis on patient education and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in Ohio with national certification as an APN.
• Must have certificate to prescribe (or eligible) per Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Active staff credentialing required for privileges.
• Current Health Care Provider BLS training required.
• MSN/DNP progression or completion is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, chronic, and critical conditions.
• Practice with neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
• Care in high-acuity settings with continuous nursing vigilance.
• Participates in quality monitoring and FPPE/OPPE for Joint Commission.
• Promotes health, disease prevention, and treatment of health problems.
• Reviews records and treatment plans for patient outcomes bi-annually.
• Assists discharge planning and acts as resource for staff and residents.
• Performs admission history and physicals, documents progress, completes discharge summaries.
