Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to provide primary and specialty care in diverse clinical settings. You will collaborate with physicians, develop treatment plans, and guide health assessments with a focus on quality patient outcomes.

Requirements include RN licensure in Ohio, national NP certification, and credentialing with prescriptive authority. MSN/DNP and current BLS are required or pursued, with onsite, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Ohio and national NP certification.
• Credentialing as active medical staff with prescriptive authority where applicable.
• Current Health Care Provider BLS training.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex conditions and acute care needs.
• Collaborates with a physician and operates under a standard care arrangement.
• Orders, interprets tests, and develops treatment plans with patients and families.
• Monitors quality through records review and FPPE/OPPE for compliance.
• Participates in patient education and discharge planning.
• Assists staff and serves as clinical resource and preceptor when needed.
• Maintains licensure, credentialing, and continuing education requirements.
• Provides care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations as appropriate.
