Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital Mansfield is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and specialty care in collaboration with physicians. The role emphasizes high-acuity care, diagnostic assessments, and developing treatment plans with patients and families.

Onsite, full-time with credentialing to support prescriptive authority. Candidates should have an Ohio RN license, NP certification, and MSN/DNP degree preferred; ACLS/PALS may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license in Ohio and national APN certification required.
• Must have current prescriptive authority or be eligible to obtain it.
• Credentialing as active medical staff privileges required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to complex patients in various settings.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans.
• Order, interpret tests and diagnostics; adjust treatments as needed.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Contribute to quality improvement and adherence to ORC and Joint Commission standards.
