Qualifications

• 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency required.
• Strong listening, interpersonal and communication skills with professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful environments including trauma and life-or-death situations.
• Excellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients by collecting accurate demographics and insurance information.
• Verifies insurance benefits and collects patient financial responsibilities.
• Assists patients to nursing units by providing directions or mobility assistance.
• Adheres to compliance for cash policy and government payors.
• Interacts with other areas to communicate patient delays and schedule changes.
• Mentors or trains peers and performs revenue cycle duties across locations as assigned.
