Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Project Engineer to drive EVA spacesuit hardware programs at our Frederica, DE site. You will coordinate design release through production, interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, and ensure flight-critical hardware meets NASA requirements.

You will track milestones, perform root cause analysis, manage documentation, and support transitions from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product development is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and ICDs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor EVA spacesuit hardware projects from design release through production, integration, and delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on production priorities, requirements, and schedules.
• Lead hardware failure investigations for spacesuit components and assemblies; drive CAPA across engineering and factory operations.
• Interface with NASA customers to communicate project status, technical progress, risks, and milestones through reviews and reports.
• Assist with transition of hardware from development into production, including build plans and configuration control.
