Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support Rivian vehicle repairs. The role is based in New York with potential travel to various locations including the production plant.

The shift is Monday–Friday with a 5pm–2am schedule and a 15% pay differential between 6:00p and 6:00am, reflecting the night shift. The position involves diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting vehicles, communicating with customers, and maintaining proper documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles in the field or service center.
• Explain Rivian product line and EV framework to customers.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety and efficiency.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Manage parts operations including ordering, receiving, and inventory.
• Document all work and notes for internal/external use.
