Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting at service centers or in the field, often at customer locations, with a collaborative team and customer-facing communication.

The position is level-agnostic and may require travel to the production plant or other sites. Shifts include Monday–Friday with rotational Saturdays, 5pm–2am, and a 15% differential for overnight hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• 40-hour workweek required; some weekends/overnights may be needed.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac computers.
• Fluent in English; good communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers or in the field.
• Identify Rivian products, EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Provide feedback to senior technicians and leadership for improvements.
• Document all work and technical notes for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team and communicate professionally with customers.
