Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a Field Service Technician to ensure top-notch customer experience at Rivian service locations. You will work with Service, Vehicle and Delivery Ops, coordinating with Field Service Engineers.

A customer-first mindset and strong communication are essential. Role spans pre-production support, on-site service, and remote work prior to local centers, with opportunity to travel up to 75% and to engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a traditional automotive repair shop preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-production vehicle builds with cross functional teams.
• Travel to locations to support service needs, including production plant as required.
• Operate remotely until local service center opens, if applicable.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with efficiency and safety.
• Perform diagnoses, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles.
• Conduct road tests to ensure repair quality.
• Maintain accurate expense reporting and repair documentation.
