Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs across service centers and customer sites. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and testing Rivian EVs, with travel to multiple locations as needed.

You will work with a team, follow documented procedures, and ensure quality and safety in every job. A valid driver’s license, English fluency, and strong tool skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
• 40-hour work week; weekends/holidays possible.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac laptops/computers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must read/speak fluent English.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Customer-facing interaction may occur at Rivian facilities, on mobile routes, or events.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles in service centers or in the field.
• Explain Rivian products, EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow repair procedures without compromising safety or quality.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory.
• Provide feedback for improvements to senior staff.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and technical notes clearly.
• Collaborate with teammates with a high level of professionalism.
