Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs, with work centered in Idaho and opportunities to travel to Rivian facilities or customer sites. The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and customer-focused service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will bring automotive shop experience, EV repair exposure, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate laptops, and communicate professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools in a shop/field setting.
• Must be 21 years old with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and communicate in English; comfortable with basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install and inspect Rivian vehicles at service centers or on-site.
• Explain Rivian products and EV framework to customers.
• Follow repair procedures and safety standards; perform road tests to verify quality.
• Manage parts operations including ordering, receiving and inventory.
• Document all work and technical notes clearly for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain professionalism in customer interactions.
