Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs across service centers and on-site locations in Michigan. The role may involve remote work or travel to Rivian facilities and customer sites, requiring a team-oriented, adaptable approach.

Level-agnostic posting with different seniority levels. Responsibilities include diagnosis, installation, inspections, and collaboration with a network of technicians.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Michigan mechanic certification preferred.
• Must be ≥21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks; study and interpret manuals.
• Experience in automotive shop and EV/hybrid repair a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Rivian vehicles in field or service centers.
• Explain Rivian EV framework, tools, and accessories to customers.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures and safety standards.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts orders, receiving, shipping and inventory.
• Document all work and notes for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team and maintain professionalism in customer interactions.
