Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs, working across service centers and in the field at customer homes or sites. The role is level-agnostic to fit multiple seniorities, with a Monday–Friday shift and rotating Saturdays, 8am–5pm.

Travel to production plants or remote locations may be required based on business needs. You will diagnose, repair, and service Rivian EVs, communicate clearly with customers, and stay current with training and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license and clean record.
• Able to drive non-commercial truck/trailer preferred.
• Available for 40-hour week, may include weekends/holidays/overtime.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac on laptops/computers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Fluent in reading/speaking English.
• Ability to read regs, safety rules, and schematics.
• Interact professionally with customers, partners, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers or on site.
• Explain Rivian product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow repair procedures using technical resources without compromising safety.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory.
• Provide feedback for improvements to senior technicians or leadership.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and notes for internal/external use.
• Work collaboratively with team and maintain high quality with minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally with customers; stay current with required training.
