Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support Rivian vehicle repairs across the Southern California region. The role combines field work at customer locations, service centers, and occasional plant visits, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and customer communication.

You will diagnose, repair, install, and test EV systems, manage parts flow, and document the work performed. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments.
• Willingness to work a 40-hour week including weekends/shifts as needed.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
• Identify and explain Rivian products and EV framework to customers.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and performance.
• Manage parts ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Document all work and technical notes for internal use.
