Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs, both in the field and at service centers. The role requires teamwork, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

You will diagnose, repair, and install Rivian EV components while maintaining safety and documentation. Based in Idaho with potential travel to multiple locations, including production facilities, the position accepts candidates across various seniority levels and emphasizes

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record for 3–5 years.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Fluent in reading/speaking English.
• EV/hybrid repair experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles in the field or at a service center.
• Explain Rivian products, EV framework, tools, and accessories to customers.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts, ordering, receiving, and inventory.
• Document work notes for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team with minimal supervision.
• Maintain professional communication with customers.
• Keep technical skills current and complete required training.
