Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician focused on EV repairs, inspections, and field service. You will work under senior technicians and leadership to grow technical acumen while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Based mainly at a local service center, the role may involve remote work, mobile service travel, and occasional support for plant operations as needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks or startup environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories while under mentorship.
• Adhere to procedures and safety, document repairs, and maintain quality.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety after service.
• Assist with parts operations, inventory tracking, and work order/expense reporting.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for internal/external use.
• Interact with customers professionally at service facilities or outreach events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns; pursue required training.
