Job summary

Rivian is seeking an entry‑level Technician focused on growing technical skills while delivering excellent customer service. You will work under senior technicians to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, primarily at a service center with potential travel to mobile or plant locations.

Strong communication and adaptability are essential. The role suits graduates or those early in their career with basic EV knowledge, willingness to learn, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
• 40-hour workweek with potential weekend/holiday/evening shifts.
• Travel to regional locations or production facilities as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments, and work order systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle service and repair at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn to identify and explain Rivian product line, EV framework, tools and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures safely and efficiently.
• Conduct road tests post-repair to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with day-to-day parts operations including ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory tracking.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for completed and in-process repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, third-party affiliates and suppliers.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns or containment initiatives.
• Engage in required training and stay updated on evolving technical skills.
