Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations. You will work under senior technicians to grow technical skills while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Based primarily at a local service center, the role may involve remote work, mobile travel, or plant support as business needs evolve. Strong communication and a passion for innovation are valued.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years hands-on experience in automotive shop or technical environment.
• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program preferred.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks or startup environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install and inspect vehicles at service centers, mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Learn EV framework, tools and accessories under mentorship from senior technicians.
• Follow repair procedures safely and efficiently with attention to quality.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations, inventory tracking and work orders.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, suppliers, and third-party affiliates.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns or containment initiatives.
• Engage in required training and stay current on evolving technical skills.
