Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering exceptional customer experience. You will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, working under senior technicians and leadership.

The role is based primarily at a local service center, with potential remote work, travel for mobile service, or support at plants as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
0–3 years hands-on experience in automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent grads.
Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

Vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
Follow repair procedures with attention to safety and quality.
Conduct road tests after repairs to verify quality and safety.
Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory, and work orders.
Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
Interact professionally with customers, families, third-party affiliates, and suppliers.
Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
