Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks a junior to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will support EV repairs, inspections, and mobile service; based mainly at a local service center with potential remote work, travel for mobile service, or plant support as needed.

The role emphasizes mentorship from senior technicians, strong communication, and a passion for innovation and adventure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency credential preferred.
• 0–3 years of hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle service and repair at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures safely and efficiently.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, and suppliers at service facilities or outreach events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns or containment initiatives.
• Engage in required training and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision as experience increases.
