Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs and service in the Chicago area. This role may travel to customer sites or production locations as needed, and collaborates with a team to deliver high-quality EV service.

Candidates should have a HS diploma, strong tool skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. EV experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred for this dynamic, customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive shop experience preferred.
• EV or hybrid repair knowledge a plus.
• Experience with parts departments and work orders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install and inspect Rivian vehicles in field or service centers.
• Explain Rivian products, EV framework, tools and accessories to customers.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and document findings.
• Manage parts, inventory and order tracking as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates and communicate professionally with customers.
