Job summary

Pearce is seeking an EV Charging Field Service Technician to repair and maintain EV charging stations across a regional footprint. You will perform electrical/mechanical maintenance, safety checks, and field reporting, operating with minimal supervision in varied conditions.

The role requires independent work in the field, with a schedule that includes weekend coverage and travel to customer sites. A background in electrical power equipment and CMMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using a CMMS to generate, track, and complete site work requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/ revisions to EV chargers (Level 2 to DC Fast Chargers).
• Perform testing on equipment (insulation testing, thermal imagery, torque tests, performance evaluations).
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate ground faults.
• Collaborate with Planning and Scheduling to adhere to maintenance schedules and complete work orders on time.
• Review site manuals/drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance.
