Job summary

Pearce is hiring an EV Charging Field Service Technician to perform onsite maintenance and repair of EV charging stations across a regional area. The role requires independent work in the field, safety awareness, and hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.

Core duties include testing, calibration, documenting site activities, and coordinating with planning to meet schedules. Strong English skills and CMMS experience are essential for success in this field-based position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience servicing electrical power equipment in commercial/utility energy.
• Troubleshooting and basic repair skills for EV chargers and related power devices.
• Familiarity with CMMS to generate and track site work orders.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on EV chargers from Level 2 to DC fast Chargers.
• Test equipment insulation, thermal imagery, torque, and performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and locate ground faults.
• Maintain schedules with Planning and Scheduling; ensure timely work orders.
• Review manuals/drawings; document site activities and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct on-site preventative and corrective maintenance; generate field reports.
