Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a skilled EV Charging Field Service Technician to perform on-site repair and maintenance of EV charging stations within a specific geographic region. The role requires independent work in various conditions, site safety, and electrical system upkeep in accordance with contract requirements.

The position involves servicing Level 2 chargers through DC fast chargers, documenting field reports, and ensuring work orders are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ equivalent experience servicing electrical power equipment in commercial or utility energy fields.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills; knowledge of EV chargers or power electronics is a plus.
• Experience using a CMMS to generate, track, and complete site work requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to EV charging equipment from Level 2 chargers to DC fast chargers.
• Conduct electrical tests (megger, insulation, thermal imaging) and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot system issues and locate ground faults.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to meet maintenance schedules and complete work orders on time.
• Review manuals/drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance.
• Conduct in-field preventative and corrective maintenance and document work in the system.
