Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an EV Charging Field Service Technician to repair and maintain EV charging stations across a defined region. You will perform on-site electrical work, safety assessments, and field reporting to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires electrical expertise, field service experience, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions. Training and growth opportunities are available across Pearce locations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician license preferred; required by state/local rules where applicable.
• 2+ years EVSE field service experience in commercial/utility energy sectors.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Know-how of EVSE chargers, solar power installations, or related power electronics preferred.
• Experience using CMMS to manage work orders and reports.
• Proficient in reading OEM manuals and electrical schematics.
• English reading/writing/speaking fluently for safety and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on EV charging gear (Level 2 to DCFC).
• Conduct electrical testing, insulation tests, thermal imaging, torque checks and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, isolate faults, and implement corrective actions.
• Review site manuals and drawings; maintain safety and quality standards.
• Own work from scheduling to completion; document site conditions and finalize field reports.
• Create safety documentation (JHA, LOTO) and ensure OSHA/site requirements are met.
