Job summary

Pearce is seeking an EV Charging Field Service Technician to perform on-site repair and maintenance of EV charging stations across a defined geographic region. The role requires independent work, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate field reporting of activities and outcomes.

The candidate will handle electrical system maintenance, testing, and documentation, with opportunities to work across a range of charging technologies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' equivalent experience servicing electrical power equipment.
• Technical knowledge of EV chargers, solar power installations preferred.
• Experience using CMMS to generate, track, and complete site work requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to EV charging equipment from Level 2 chargers to DC Fast Chargers.
• Conduct insulation testing, thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate faults.
• Coordinate with Planning and Scheduling to keep maintenance on schedule.
• Review site manuals/drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance.
• Perform field maintenance and document work orders in CMMS.
• Document site issues and ensure timely resolution.
