Job summary

Pearce Services is hiring an EV Charging Field Service Technician to repair and maintain EV charging stations across a defined region. The role requires field work, safety compliance, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision in varied outdoor conditions.

You will perform testing, troubleshooting, and preventive/corrective maintenance on a range of EV charging equipment, from Level 2 to DC fast chargers, while documenting work in the CMMS system and ensuring timely completion of work

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ equivalent experience servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial/utility energy field or formal electrical training.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills; knowledge of EV chargers or power electronics preferred.
• Experience using CMMS to generate and track site work requirements.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to EV chargers, from Level 2 to DC Fast Chargers.
• Conduct insulation, thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate ground faults.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to meet maintenance schedules and complete work orders.
• Review site manuals/drawings for proper service and maintenance of equipment.
